Rest Club - Gentle movement & Restorative yoga
A Monthly online class to help you cace out space for rest.
Always on a Momday from 8pm to 9pm
It can be hard to carve out time for rest in our busy lives, and even when we do, maybe there are a million things that pop up. I find that resting with other people helps me to clear that time in my calendar and give myself permission to rest. This is my intention for Gentle Movement & Rest Club. We will have a different focus each time, but all around, inviting a type of rest into the hour we spend together.

I will guide us through gentle movement and restorative yoga, with a focus on easing the body. We will open with a little intro and a space to set an intention. There will be a gentle focus on breath and meditation, but no pressure to do these. Movements will generally be quite slow, and I will invite you to be present in the practice. For the restorative postures, we will hold each one for 2-5 minutes, depending on the posture, with the idea of looking to find a comfortable variation of the pose to hopefully invite a little ease into various areas.
The class is open to anyone who would like to join, and I will offer options throughout the evening to help meet you where you are.
Things you might like to have ready:
- A yoga mat (or a space with a comfy rug/blanket)
- A bolster (or a bed pillow) and some cushions
- A blanket (or two)
- A block or two (you could also use cushions or books)
- Something comfy to wear (PJs v welcome)
- You might like to dim the lights in the room where you will practice or light a candle and bring as many layers as you like for warm cosiness
- Camera on or off, totally up to you
- the class will be recorded (just my camera)
- I will send out a playlist, or if you have your fave feel free to use that
- I will send through this list and a reminder of the practice ahead of time
Cost:
I have set the cost at a sliding scale from £6-14. The class being online allows me to keep my costs low, so I can offer this at a lower price and hopefully make it a bit more accessible (what the cost of everything and especially yoga can be so high). If you need a free spot, please reach out, no questions asked.
