FAQs

What do I need to bring to class?
Yoga mats and other equipment are provided for the Yoga at the Yurt classes, however you may like to bring your own if you prefer. For online classes you will need a yoga mat. You might like to bring a water bottle to keep hydrated too.

What should I wear for class?
Wear comfortable clothes in which you can move easily, with additional layers to keep you warm during rest at the end of class

How do I avoid injury, or can I practice yoga with an injury?

Practising mindfully, listening to your body and working within your range of movement are the best ways to avoid injury, although sometimes it does still happen. Yoga can be adapted to accommodate various health conditions and injuries. However, it's essential to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise regimen. Please inform me of any health concerns before class so I can offer appropriate modifications.

Do I need to be flexible to attend your classes?
Absolutely not. Yoga is for every body. My classes are designed to meet you where you are, offering modifications and options to suit various abilities and experiences. Over time, you may notice increased flexibility and strength, but there's no prerequisite to start.

I'm pregnant. Can I still attend your classes?
Yes, but it's important to consult with your healthcare provider first. Once checked, please let me know about your pregnancy so I can provide suitable modifications to ensure your safety and comfort during practice.

What if I feel self-conscious or anxious about joining a class?
It's entirely normal to feel that way. My classes foster a non-judgmental and supportive environment. Everyone is encouraged to practice at their own pace, and there's no pressure to perform or compete.

Do you offer classes for beginners?
Yes. Many of my classes are beginner-friendly, and I provide clear instructions and modifications to help you feel comfortable and confident as you start your yoga journey.

Do I need to book in advance?
Booking in advance is recommended to secure your spot, especially as class sizes may be limited to maintain a comfortable and safe environment. For Yoga at the Yurt please do book ahead.

How can I stay updated on class schedules and events?
You can subscribe to my newsletter for the latest updates on classes, workshops, and retreats. Additionally, follow me on social media for real-time announcements and insights.
