What to expect

We are both so excited to bring this day retreat to you, giving you the opportunity to rest and feel renewed. Set in beautiful countryside, our home for the day will be a cosy, stable studio in a woodland setting with a lake for dips and swims, alfresco woodfired hot tubs, and a woodfired sauna. It is the perfect combination to let go and unwind on a Sunday

We will be exploring the physical practice through asana, connecting to yourself through creativity and breath and experiencing nature with walking meditations, cold water immersions and an alfresco spa experience.

Timings – 11am – 4:30pm (option to stay until 6pm)

Description

We are both so excited to bring this day retreat to you, giving you the opportunity to rest and feel renewed. Set in beautiful countryside our home for the day will be a cosy stable studio set in a woodland setting with a lake for dips and swims, alfresco woodfired hot tubs and a woodfired sauna. The perfect combination to let go and unwind on a Sunday

Draft Schedule

11 am – Opening Circle

11:15 am – 12:30 pm – Vinyasa Flow Yoga Practice – moving with the breath to warm the body and land into the day, finishing with an extended savasana

12:30 pm – 1:15 pm – Lunch – a delicious selection of vegetarian/vegan salads with some produce sourced from our allotments

1:15 pm – 2 pm – Mindful craft activity

2 pm – 2:45 pm – Restorative Yoga Practice

3 pm – 3:30 pm – Meditation Walk & Standing Pranayama – a grounding walking meditation followed by a pranayama practise designed to soothe the nervous system before we lake dip

3:40 pm – 4:30 pm (option to stay until 6 pm) – Lake dips, sauna and hot tubs – starting with an optional lake dip this part of the afternoon is now for you to enjoy the alfresco spa and its natural surroundings

Location

The day retreat will be taking place at Blackpit Farm in the stable studio and within the grounds, making use of the Alfresco Spa

What to bring

  • Water bottle
  • Yoga mat (if you would like to use your own, we will provide all props and mats required)
  • Yoga clothes
  • Cosy clothes for post-swim
  • Sturdy shoes for a walk through the woods
  • Swimming costume
  • Towel
  • Flip flops/sandals for pre/post swim/hot tubs

Things to note

  • The schedule above is a draft; this may be changed and amended
  • All mats and props will be provided, but feel free to bring your own
  • A waiver will need to be signed prior to the lake dip and use of the sauna and hot tubs
  • We reserve the right to cancel the event if the minimum number of spaces required is not filled. This will be communicated 1 week prior to the event commencing
  • The easiest way to get to Blackpit Farm is by car. Should you be interested in car-sharing please do get in touch

Georgie Davies

Georgie is the founder of Yogipod and a yoga teacher and will be one of your guides for this day’s retreat. Teaching in a way that is rooted in your experience, Georgie will encourage to listen to your body and to honour what it is telling you while still providing space for exploration and play
